We are packing for our move, and Diana wanted so badly to be involved. We've already done some of her toys, and although I wasn't feeling the need to pack up some of her dolls yet, she told me she was ready to get going on them.

So we spent the last 2 days cleaning and organizing the doll room. She has decided to keep out her new Christmas Felicity (from Santa) and Nellie (last year from Santa). She has the 3/1 bed and we'll leave out a few extra outfits so they can still play.

We undressed each girl, brushed her hair, gave them a kiss and said "bye-bye, see you in our new home, love you..." to Josefina, Kirsten, Samantha, Kailey, Lindsey and Marisol. We still have to put away Bitty and the Twins, or maybe just the twins, and still keep Bitty out too.

I have a LOT of packing to do. Makes you really appreciate your collection when you have to pack it all up. We won't see them again till mid/late April. I miss them already.

This may sound really silly coming from an adult. But over the holidays I was gone for 6 weeks. I was going to take Josefina with me but changed my mine at the last moment. (Not enough room in suitcase for her and my clothes.) I was really sorry I did not bring her. It would of been fun to dress her and take pictures. I missed my AG girls.

It could also be that this was the first Christmas without my daughter. So maybe the combo of both AG daughters and real Daughter being missed it was extra hard being without them. The to be Mother In Law got daughter this year.

Good luck with the move. I know that can be hard.

Laurie, Just think how fun it will be to unpack them and get them settled in the new house plus you will be so busy from now 'til then!

Mollygirl, I feel the same. I like the girls on the fireplace. When DD has them in her room I miss them. Up until now she has always been allowed to play with any of the dolls but now that I have Lindsey I think I'm going to be overprotective with her . The HB force is turning me into a collector .

Just thinking of packing up a whole house is scary! Knowing all the stuff I have - and I live on my own.

I agree, it will be so much fun to unpack the girls and set them up in their new room. A bit like Christmas!

Thanks, you know Terri, I just may take you up on that. I'm so tired of the color "cardboard" right now!

Good luck with your packing and moving. The good thing about not being able to play with the dolls until April is that they will seem like a whole new collection. It's funny how when I clean out my DD's closet with her and she finds something she forgot she had, it is so great - like a new toy! Since Diana will probably be missing some of her old friends after the move, bringing out the doll collection will distract her. She will be surrounded by her AG friends in her new home. Although she probably will make a great adjustment, I am sure that bringing out all her dolls will really make your new house feel like home.
